Time Launcher

If you like to see how things work, or you can't get enough of metallic silver, then you might get this watch. It's called the Time Launcher M, and is designed so that all the inner workings are displayed on the outside. http://www.tokyomango.com/tokyo_mango/2007/03/time_launcher_t.html

this is why I like Sony

Sony Ericsson Z610

Sleek and stylish, the Z610 clamshell is sheer eye candy. Boasting a 2.0-inch TFT display, 2.0-megapixel camera, 16MB internal memory, M2 card slot, Bluetooth, a music player, and USB connectivity. It comes in three different colors and measures 94.5 x 49 x 20mm. Available Q3 2006, no word yet on pricing.

Sony releases FJ290 customizable, colorful notebook line

Although Sony's new colorful notebook lineup lacks the class demonstrated on the wooden laptop we've seen, the personalized approach is in full effect with the FJ290 series. The laptop comes with one of five different lids -- Pink Feather, Orange Flower, Green Flower, Orange Burst, and Blue Burst -- reportedly designed to "reflect an individual's personality." Sony also allows you to engrave up to two lines of text just above the keyboard on the inner casing, just in case you really want to destroy any and all hope for resale. While we know the bright colors are the real draw here, the FJ290 rocks a modest 14.1-inch WXGA display, Intel Pentium Celeron (or M) processor, 512MB of RAM, 40GB hard drive, DVD+R dual-layer burner, built-in webcam, and 802.11b/g, but since the specs are as customizable as the paintjob, you can mix and match the innards to fit your needs (and budget). The oh-so-vivid base configurations are available now for around $1,449.[Via Notebook Review]

New sticker lets you know when fruit is ripe

Fruit is not my forte. Do you want your avocados firm or soft? What about peaches? And do you keep them in a brown paper bag to ripen? Bah! Too much work, I say. Luckily, science is coming to my rescue once more (thanks again for sunscreen, guys!). RediRipe stickers are like the little labels you find on fruit already that let the miserable high school kid working at the register know what numbers to punch in, but with a twist. They change color depending on the ripeness of the fruit, keying you in to which pear is the best without needing to grope every one in the pile. The stickers work by detecting ethylene gas, which is given off by fruits and veggies as they ripen. They're still working the kinks out, such as getting them to let you know when the fruit has gone from ripe to over-ripe to brown soggy mess, but we hope they'll start popping up in supermarkets in the next couple of years. — Adam Frucci
